We are looking for an Industrial Sales Manager to lead the transportation related market segments: rail, locomotive, and bus. You will be responsible for generating profitable sales by deploying a sales strategy and executing it successfully.

Your mandate:
- Implement the strategic plan for sales in industrial markets: rail, locomotive and bus
- Establish annual and three-year sales forecasts, monitor them and put in place the required actions to ensure their achievement
- Ensure the implementation of the sales plan and the achievement of objectives, while respecting quality, costs, and deadlines
- Lead the sales process execution
- Prepare and coordinate technical and commercial proposals in response to private and public tenders, and present cost-effective solutions based on customer needs
- Negotiate complex contractual terms and lead the negotiation strategy
- Build technical expertise to provide added value for our customers and thus develop lasting relationships, differentiate our value proposition, and influence vehicle manufacturers
- Identify and develop new business opportunities of varying levels of complexity
- Qualify opportunities in terms of scope, feasibility, resources, timelines, risks, and costs, in collaboration with the product development and project management teams
- Work closely with the project management team to ensure the contract execution in accordance with technical specifications and contract terms
- Participate in building pricing structures as well as processes and margins continuous improvement
- Manage customer relationships and be involved in problem solving and after sales follow-up
- Monitor market and competition trends and guide actions and strategies
- Build and track metrics, sales reports, and market information
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, certifications, permits, standards, and market access conditions
- Organize and participate in trade shows, customer visits and promotional events
Do you have the profile:
- Commercial and technical skills in B2B sales
- Natural ability to provide leadership and strategic sales vision
- Successful track record in executing a growth-oriented sales strategy
- At least 5 years sales experience in a similar business environment
- Interest in technical sales
- Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels within organizations
- Strong experience at all stages of the direct sales cycle: prospecting, bidding, negotiating, closing, after sales service, etc.
- Comfortable navigating an environment with long sales cycles
- Verbal communication and presentations
- Ability to analyze financial performance, budgets, and economic indicators to identify impacts and adjustments to sales strategies and initiatives
- Availability to travel on a regular basis
- Can be based anywhere in Northeastern North America
- Impeccable spoken and written English and understanding of US business culture
