WINDSHIELDS AND WINDOWS :

Design : Windshields and windows can be made from tempered, laminated, flat or bent glass. The addition of a ceramic frit perimeter around the glass gives a polished look while preventing UV rays from damaging the adhesive that holds them in place.

Accident Protection : The use of protective film applied to the inner face of windows prevents injury from flying glass in the event of an impact. Chemically strengthened glass is eight times more impact resistant than comparable non-tempered glass.

Vandalism Protection : Scratch-resistant glass and anti-vandalism film can reduce damage from vandalism.

Forced-entry Protection : Protective film can slow down a burglar trying to enter the vehicle by breaking the window. Prelco also has a full range of bullet-resistant glass that complies with various levels of ballistic protection.

Visual Comfort : Solar control glass (tinted or low-emissivity) cuts glare and reduces visual fatigue for both drivers and passengers. Heated glass keeps windows from fogging or frosting up.

Thermal Comfort : The use of sealed units and solar control glass (tinted or low-emissivity) improves the thermal insulation of vehicles.

Acoustical Comfort : Laminated glass cuts the transmission of outside noise.
