Design : Windshields and windows can be made from tempered, laminated,
flat or bent glass. The addition of a ceramic frit perimeter around the glass gives a polished look while preventing UV rays from damaging the adhesive that holds them in place.
Accident
Protection : The use of protective film applied to the inner face of windows prevents injury from flying glass in the event of an impact.
Chemically strengthened glass is eight times more impact resistant than comparable non-tempered glass.
